The Essayist: Sam

Nowadays, with the help of technology, human beings are capable of making some extraordinary science-fiction movies. In this specific genre of film industry, machines are uniquely designed in order to replace the role of humans in dangerous situations, however, sometimes, they might endanger human beings, but this really depends on the way the robots are programmed whether in constructive or destructive manners.
The science-fiction genre is the best field for putting the collection of creative thoughts into action in automation. An automaton, as an example here, can make every task easy and accurate in every facet of modern life in both homes and industries such as doing various household chores, and welding and painting in automobile factories respectively instead of humans. In so doing, machines save humans by doing all the drudgery. Thus, intelligent machines are the best replacement for humans who have never experienced such a phenomenon before the revolution of technology.
Apart from the benefits of intelligent machines for people, they will threat humans’ life catastrophically if they are programmed in negative ways. In todays’ life, for instance, they can duplicate humans’ genes easily in less than half an hour. They may be able to replicate humans with all details impeccably in distant future. This might lead them to implementing humans’ copied brain for themselves and ordering humans to force them to do some hazardous tasks in favour of robots. Thus, one day, by artificial intelligence of robots, they would order humans, let alone obey humans, unless they were not programmed by opportunistic people.
To conclude, the constructive and destructive dimensions of robots are deeply rooted in humans’ attitudes and thoughts. It is expected that coming generations will have experienced extraordinary benefits of intelligent machines that will not be superior over humans by less than 20 years. 299
