That was a difficult and different story.
Full of irony and symbols. Also it had strange leading characters’ name. Moreover, the theme of story was vengeance and jealousy.
As mentioned by you, the plot and theme of The Cask of Amontillado are quite esoteric and hard to follow, but these qualities are characteristic of Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories and poems. We’ll do our best to unravel the mysteries of this terrifying short story in our class.
