What is vegetarianism?

Vegetarianism is the practice of avoiding any kind of flesh of animals, fish, chicken, etc. for eating food. Sometimes eggs and dairy products are excluded. Vegetarianism could be adopted b imitation or mindful selection. If chosen by imitation, it could cause malnutrition.

Vegetarianism vs. veganism

Vegan - English flashcard

A vegan is someone who avoids eating all animal products including eggs and diary in addition to meat. But a vegetarian just avoids eating animal’s meat. Veganism mostly refers to a lifestyle, while vegetarianism is a diet.
Vegans also avoid using edible animal-based products such as leather.

Vegetarianism and the environment

The industry of producing meat for humans consumes much more water than most vegetables do. It also causes emissions more than all transportation combined. Therefore, by knowing these facts, vegetarianism can help lessen the harmful impact of excessive meat consumption on the environment.

Weekday vegetarian

Delectable Definition & Meaning in Context with Images

Weekday vegetarian is considered a third solution to the dilemma of becoming a vegan or not. As clearly its name expresses the meaning, the weekday vegetarian is to eat vegetables during the week till the start of the weekend. At the weekend, both meats and vegetables are permitted. Even if the weekday vegetarian has a great appetite for meat during the week, he/she can use fish as a remedy for quenching the appetite.

Advantages of vegetarianism

To name the least advantage of vegetarianism is to spread a healthier lifestyle through people besides the contribution to the environment. It also could help the vegans to lose weight.

Possible disadvantages of vegetarianism

One of the possible disadvantages of vegetarianism, which came to my mind, is the deficiency in the variety of ingredients which is provided for the vegan’s body.

      • That’s correct. Vegans adhere to a lifestyle that excludes all animal products, not just from their diet but also from other aspects of daily life, such as clothing and personal care items. Vegetarians, on the other hand, avoid consuming meat but may still consume dairy, eggs, and other animal-derived products. While vegetarianism focuses primarily on dietary choices, veganism encompasses a broader commitment to avoiding exploitation of animals in all forms.
