Some of the methods used in advertising are unethical and unacceptable in today’s society. To what extent do you agree with this view?

Nowadays, advertisements are proliferated in all over the world and many people believe some methods and ads are against moral codes. I personally concur with this perspective.

To begin with, some ads disturb the privacy of people. For instance, many companies send messages to peoples’ cell phone without any permission and it is not moral and people have to tolerate some notifications. Moreover, in some ads, the manufacturers try to exaggerate the quality of their products which leads to misleading. Another example which casts light on this issue is that advertising for cigarettes is immoral because it jeopardizes public health.

    • Line 1: Proliferate is an intransitive verb. So, “advertisements proliferate all over the globe.”
Line 3: Better to add the noun modifier, “spam” before “messages” spam messages.
      Line 4: ❌ peoples’ cell phone ✅ people’s cellphones
Line 5: Notifications  spam text messages
Line 6: leads to misleading  which is misleading
