English quote on life experiences by Abraham Lincoln used in our English conversation class for discussion.

In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.

This beautiful quote remarks that it does not matter how many years you have lived, the thing that matters is how you have used your life and the time you were given. Basically, are you living or simply just alive? Some people live a short life but a profitable one.

This is one of the most meaningful and beautiful sentences that can be heard about the quality of life wisely mentioning how we should live in the world in a fraction of the time that is given to us compared to the whole age of the universe. Only great men such as Abraham Lincoln have the wisdom to say something like this and use their time in the best possible way.

We have a specific time that is given to us; On every moment we choose how to use it. Just spending it or live a life that is useful for ourselves and also the people around us. No one really cares the amount of days that a person has lived but they do care what quality it was. So we should try to choose ‘having a high quality life on our path’ every single minute.

This quote by Abraham Lincoln is extremely meaningful. It compares and contrasts the quality and quantity of life, and gives more credit to the former. I believe maintaining a healthy lifestyle on the ground of correct attitudes in life can certainly improve the quality of life, and if the quality of life is taken into account, its quantity will also be taken care of automatically.
