Topic: With an increasing population communicating via the internet and text messaging, face-to-face communication will become a thing of the past.

To what extent do you agree?

In modern society, people have more choices ways to communicate each other such as face-to-face, letters, emails, telephones or social media. However, technology has become an integral part of the way that people communicate with each other around the world, many individuals fear that the rapid expansion of technology has increasingly taken the place of face-to-face communication. For instance, mobile communication devices have negative effects on closeness, connection, and conversation quality. Besides, in the absence of mobile devices people have conversation with higher levels of empathetic concern. Contrary to that technology impacts face-to-face communication negatively, there is some beneficial of technology on face-to-face communication. For example, Internet face-to-face communication by Web cameras and video phones allows people from many different locations to communicate effectively. More to the point, it is important to balance online interactions with face to face communication among relatives and friends.

  1. Nowadays, online communication has proliferated in every nook and cranny of the globe. In turn, face-to-face socialization is going to be obsolete. To shore up my perspective, these days, people have less time compared to the past and they go through any methods in the life which could save their time. To put it in another way, there is a rat race competition in the world among folks and making a living needs people to be really industrious. As a result, people have to expedite their life undoubtedly. For example, when one can see his/her friends and family members on the laptop and talk to them he/she does not go to their home, saving themselves from traffic jams and crowded city, etc. Moreover, people enjoy digging into technology. To specify, being connected with technology and modernity is somehow enjoyable for people. Consequently, people try to replace the traditional methods with the contemporary methods.

Line 3: many individuals fear that… It must be the start of a new sentence. So consider a full stop before it and capitalize “many”.
Lines 6-7: technology – compared to traditional communication modes – provides us with some special benefits in communicating with others

You did not clearly state whether you think traditional face-to-face communication would be replaced by internet communication or not. In short, you did not answer the question in the topic.
