Meditation Techniques

  • Meditation can revitalize your mind, keep it calm and help you to control your mind, thoughts and life.
  • Alpha waves that are activated during meditation can make your brain become more relaxed.
  • Get into a comfortable place and relax your body. You should not be disturbed at all.
  • Take some deep breaths.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Stay in an upright position, your spine should be in an upright position.
  • You should not be tired or eat a big meal before meditation.
  • Do it consistently every day, at the same time. The minimum amount of time is 5 minutes.

Breathing

  1. Focus on your breathing to stay concentrated during meditation. You can pay attention to the slight movements of your stomach during breathing.
  2. Focus on your exhales because your parasympathetic nervous system is activated during exhaling and you may feel relieved.
  3. Do not breathe consciously. Let inhalation and exhalation happen on their own. You are just the observer of your breaths and not their controller.
  4. When you are imminent to be distracted by different thoughts, just observe your breaths.
  5. After a while, you will reach a state labeled ‘no thought state’, in which your breaths will become really few, and you almost think about nothing and you will reach the no-thought state, which is receptive of cosmic energy.
  6. Suppose that you breathe in white air through your nose and breathe out dark and polluted air through your mouth, which shows that you are being purified.
  7. Don’t be judgmental of anything or anybody else, try to focus on your breaths and try to be forgiving.
  8. It should be long enough to be effective. Start this ritual for 5 minutes per day, and try to increase the length of this activity as time elapses.
  9. It’s good for human development.

  12. Listen to binaural music. You may sit before your stereo or wear headphones.
