The story of Little Memole
Memole was a little girl who came to Earth from another planet with some little people. She became friends with a kind girl who was sick, and Memole spent a lot of time with her. Whenever Memole wanted to visit the kind girl’s house, she rode on her owl, Bobo.

Memole gradually introduced her friends to the kind girl, and they became friends too. Together, they had many adventures. The friendship between Memole and the kind girl grew so deep that even Memole’s family worried about the kind girl. Memole’s friends also visited the kind girl’s house on Bobo.

On days when Memole was late, the kind girl would eagerly watch out the window for her. Memole tried her best to make the kind girl happy, and the kind girl was delighted to have such a wonderful friend and companion.
Questions for discussion
- What role do Memole’s friends play in the story, and how do they contribute to the overall friendship between Memole and the kind girl?
- How does the setting (Earth versus another planet) influence the development of the story and the characters?
- What is the significance of the owl, Bobo, in the story? How does it symbolize or facilitate the connection between Memole and the kind girl?
1. Memole gradually introduces her friends to the kind girl. The friends then become her friends too, and they share adventures together.
2. The contrast between Earth and Memole’s home planet makes the friendship more interesting. Memole is an outsider who comes from another planet, while the kind girl belongs to Earth. This difference shows that friendship can cross boundaries such as place, background, and even worlds.
3. Bobo is much more than just an animal companion. He is the means of transportation and connection between Memole and the kind girl. Whenever Memole wants to visit her friend, she rides Bobo to the girl’s house. Symbolically, Bobo can be seen as a bridge between two different worlds: Memole’s world and the kind girl’s world. He physically brings them together and makes their friendship possible on a practical level.
Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful analysis of Memole. Your points beautifully highlight how the story uses friendship, imagination, and the connection between different worlds to deliver a meaningful message. Bobo’s role as a bridge between Memole and her friend is especially interesting because it shows how small connections can bring people closer together. Memole remains a heartwarming reminder that kindness and friendship can overcome all differences.
