At parties and casual gatherings, do you usually appear dressed to kill, or do you prefer to be underdressed?

When I was young I usually try to impress others by wearing more attractive clothes but little by little with the passage of time I became more mature and understand that there are more important factors than dressing to attract attention. So now I spend less time on it. I think wearing neat and suitable dress and behaving like a gentleman is more important than dressed to kill.
