English Vocabulary Learning Campaign

English Vocabulary Learning Campaign lets you learn English vocabulary from each other in an interactive way through finding and making authentic examples of difficult and academic vocabulary that is frequently used in the English tests like IELTS and TOEFL.

Please consider the following to join this educational campaign:

1. Find three authentic short passages for each vocabulary item from the latest post of the English Vocabulary Learning Campaign category.
2. Acknowledge your three sources right below the three short passages. If you’ve made the examples, just mention yourself as the source.
3. The sources should be authentic. It means that we don’t use reference books, dictionaries or any other instructional materials specifically developed for English learners because this is against the copyright laws.
4. You’re also encouraged to make your own examples.
5. We will take care of the following parts for each flashcard: definitions, synonyms, antonyms, parts of speech, illustrations, etc.
6. The entire flashcard will be published in your own name as the author, and we will create a video podcast from your post and publish it on our YouTube channel with thousands of subscribers worldwide by mentioning you as the author.
7. Pay attention to the latest post from the English Vocabulary Learning category as an example of what you should do.
8. Use the comment form at the bottom of each post in the English Vocabulary Learning Campaign category to leave your examples, sentences, notes, etc. as comments.
9. If you like to be mentioned as the author of the vocabulary items, please do NOT leave comments as a guest. Instead, first log in to your account at LELB Society with one single click, and then leave comments.
10. You can also edit your profile at LELB Society and add a short biography in the Biographical Information text field at the bottom of your profile page.
11. Finally, we update the post using your valuable comments, and you’ll be able to see your contributions in your own name.

How to find authentic examples

• To find specific words and phrases in the body or text of aritcles, search for: allintext:XXX and the XXX is the words you’re searching for.
• You can easily find authentic materials at books.google.com. The problem with this method is that the search results are not text, and you cannot copy them. To solve this problem, you can take a screenshot of the specified part of the book and use the great web-based OCR service available at https://www.onlineocr.net/ to convert your screenshot to text.
