Crave 1100 Words You Need
/kreɪv/ (verb)
to have a strong desire for something, desire, ask for, beg for, yearn for, long for, solicit, implore, need, want, require, hunger after, request, entreat:
Young children need and crave attention. They started their life as completely dependent beings. As they mature, they may need you less and less to meet their physical needs; however, they will depend heavily on you to meet their emotional needs. They will continue to need your attention for comfort, support, and validation through their childhood and adolescence.
The amount of attention your child needs will depend on his unique temperament and personality style. For example, your four-year-old may be constantly under your feet asking you to play with him, while another four-year-old is perfectly content to spend hours playing in her room alone. Children who need or crave attention are usually very active or outspoken about letting you know. Whether your child needs a lot or a little attention, they may go to great lengths if they feel they are not getting enough.
