If you came upon the terrible scene of a car crash on a highway immediately after the ambulances and rescuers arrived, would you stop to watch? Suppose that your presence at the scene would neither help nor impede the rescuers.

Certainly not. I am curious to know but not everything.
If my presence could not help those in suffering, why I stop to see their suffering. I also believe not fill my brain with unnecessary data and not waste my time on something that is nothing to do with me.. If there is something important about that accident the news will certainly cover it then.
