Do you often pretend to have some qualities in interaction with others in order to be polite? For instance, do you sometimes say somethin to others while you don’t really mean it?

No, I often try not to say something that I don’t mean it. Because otherwise, I feel like I’m being disingenuous, which I try my best not to be. I don’t really like to just say something good to somebody only because they had admired me. And in return, when I praise someone and they say something good back to me, I’ll wonder whether they really mean it, or they were just trying to be polite?
