I had a tough day a few weeks ago when I was a delegate on a training course. My anxiety that day was particularly high. I was also tired and exhausted by work. My gut feel was to run and hide under the duvet at the end of the day. Instead two things refreshed how I was feeling that evening. I called my mum on the way home and she listened to me talk and provided a sympathetic ear, which at the time I needed. I then went home and cooked for two of my friends and we sat around chatting over pizza and beer. I felt much more refreshed than I did leaving the training room at 5pm.
