The Origin Story of LELB Society

LELB Society was founded on July 6, 2015, by Dr. Mohammad Hossein Hariri Asl, who launched the website on WordPress as part of his PhD research project titled “Interactivity and Social Presence: Two Ingredients for Creating an Effective Online Learning Community.” Interestingly, this significant day also coincides with Dr. Hariri’s own birthday, adding a deeply personal connection to the foundation of the platform.

Initially, the goal was to attract participants for the research project. However, what started as a small academic experiment soon transformed into a passionate mission. Driven by a vision to promote accessible and interactive education, LELB Society evolved into a thriving online learning community. Over time, it has grown into a collaborative hub with 31 team members, including professional authors and dedicated educators who contribute regularly to its development.

Over the past year, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Hariri Asl has personally edited and updated more than 2,000 lessons and posts as part of our ongoing content refreshment policy. This extensive effort included fixing broken links, updating outdated or critical information, and modernizing the user experience (UX) to meet today’s standards. These enhancements not only improve readability and navigation but also reflect our deep commitment to delivering high-quality, up-to-date educational content for our global community of learners.
